Withdrawal of License Amendment Request for Revision of the Indian Point Nuclear Generating Station Unit No. 2 Technical Specifications

- 1. Consolidated Edison letter (NL 01-020) to NRC, dated 2/27/2001, "Indian Point 2 License Amendment Request - Revision of Technical Specification Applicability for Engineered Safety Systems" Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. (the previous licensee) requested an amendment to the Indian Point Nuclear Generating Station Unit No. 2 (IP2) Technical Specifications (TS) (Ref. 1). Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (ENO, the current licensee) has decided to convert the IP2 TS to be consistent with NUREG-1 431, "Standard Technical Specifications, Westinghouse Plants," Rev. 2 (i.e., the ITS). The conversion of the IP2 TS to the ITS will negate the need for the previously requested license amendment. Therefore, ENO hereby withdraws the request for a license amendment for IP2 TS transmitted to the NRC in the letter dated February 27, 2001.
This letter contains no new commitments.
