Management Actions
- 1.
During the six-month period ending December 31, 2004, the Duane Arnold Energy Center conducted 262 drug and alcohol tests in accordance with 10 CFR Part 26. Duane Arnold Energy Center workers are subject to random drug and alcohol testing. Random drug testing rate for the six-month period ending December 31, 2004 was 27.00%. Testing rate for the year ending 2004 was 51.23%.
--For the semi-annual reporting period-ending December.31,.2004,.two-(2).contract workers were denied nuclear access after testing positive for alcohol - one (1) during pre-access testing and one (1) during a for cause test. One (1) licensee employee tested positive for alcohol during a for cause test. Access was suspended until completion of a chemical dependency assessment and the individual was placed in a follow-up testing program.
- 2.
For the semi-annual period referenced herein all blind specimens submitted to Duane Arnold Energy Center's HHS-certified laboratory yielded expected results.
Reportable Events Duane Arnold Energy Center had no reportable events as defined in 10 CFR Part 26.73 (a) during this reporting period.
