Pursuant to 10 CFR 52.103(a), Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC), the licensee for Vogtie Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) Unit 4 Combined License (COL) Number NPF-92, is hereby notifying the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) of the scheduled date for initial loading of fuel at VEGP Unit 4 on August 8, 2022. SNC is submitting this notice to support publication of the notice of intended operation 180 days prior to scheduled fuel load. SNC respectfully requests that the notice of intended operation be published in the Federal Register in accordance with 10 CFR 52.103(a).
Updates to the scheduled date for initial loading of fuel will be made every 30 days in accordance with the 10 CFR 52.103(a) and VEGP Unit 4 COL condition 2.D.(11).
