In accordance with 10 CFR 52.99(c)(1), the purpose of this letter is to notify the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) of the completion of Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) Unit 4 Inspections, Tests, Analyses, and Acceptance Criteria (ITAAC) Item 2.1.02.12a.ix [Index Number 61] for the verification that the referenced Item OSd.iv of Table 2.1.2-4 determines the effective flow area through each stage 1 Automatic Depressurization System (ADS) valve is >4.6 in^ and each stage 2 and 3 ADS valve is >16 in^. The closure process for this ITAAC is based on the guidance described in NEI 08-01, "Industry Guideline for the ITAAC Closure Process under 10 CFR Part 52,"
which was endorsed by the NRC in Regulatory Guide 1.215.
This letter contains no new NRC regulatory commitments. Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) requests NRC staff confirmation of this determination and publication of the required notice in the Federal Register per 10 CFR 52.99.

ITAAC Determination Basis This Inspection, Test, Analyses and Acceptance Criteria (ITAAC) Design Commitment is shown to be met by reference to ITAAC 2.1.02.08d.iv in Vogtle Unit 4 Combined License (COL)
Appendix C, Table 2.1.2-4. The referenced Item Sd.iv of Table 2.1.2-4 determines the effective flow area through each stage 1 Automatic Depressurization System (ADS) valve is >4.6 in^ and each stage 2 and 3 ADS valve is >16 in^.
The ITAAC closure notification (ICN) letter (Reference 1) summarizes the methodology for conducting the Inspections, Tests, Analyses (ITA), and the results that demonstrate that the acceptance criteria were met. This ICN has been submitted to the NRC and the supporting ITAAC closure activities are complete.
The records (Tests, Reports, Completed Procedures, Completed Analyses, etc.) that form the ITAAC determination basis are referenced in the ICN for Item 8d.iv of Table 2.1.2-4.
ITAAC Finding Review In accordance with plant procedures for ITAAC completion. Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) performed a review of all ITAAC findings pertaining to the subject ITAAC and associated corrective actions. This review found that there are no relevant ITAAC findings associated with this ITAAC. The ITAAC completion review document number is included in the Vogtle Unit 4 ITAAC Completion Package for ITAAC 2.1.02.12a.ix (Reference 2) and is available for NRC inspection.
U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ND-20-0283 Enclosure Page 3 of 3 ITAAC Completion Statement Based on the above information, SNC hereby notifies the NRG that ITAAC 2.1.02.12a.ix was performed for VEGP Unit 4 and that the prescribed acceptance criteria are met.
Systems, structures, and components verified as part of this ITAAC are being maintained in their as-designed, ITAAC compliant condition in accordance with approved plant programs and procedures.
