Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC), the licensee for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) Units 3 and 4, provides this notification in accordance with license condition 2.D(12)(b) of the combined licenses for VEGP Units 3 and 4, Numbers NPF-91 and NPF-92, respectively.

The VEGP Unit 3 license condition requires SNC to complete the as-designed pipe rupture hazards analysis for compartments (rooms) containing those segments in accordance with the criteria outlined in the AP1000 DCD, Rev. 19, Sections 3.6.1.3.2 (as revised by Amendment No. 51 and Amendment No. 107) and 3.6.2.5, and inform the Director of NRO, or the Director's designee, in writing, upon the completion of this analysis and the availability of the as-designed pipe rupture hazards analysis reports.

The VEGP Unit 4 license condition requires SNC to complete the as-designed pipe rupture hazards analysis for compartments (rooms) containing those segments in accordance with the criteria outlined in the AP1000 DCD, Rev. 19, Sections 3.6.1.3.2 (as revised by Amendment No. 51 and Amendment No. 106) and 3.6.2.5, and inform the Director of NRO, or the Director's designee, in writing, upon the completion of this analysis and the availability of the as-designed pipe rupture hazards analysis reports.

The purpose of this letter is to notify the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) that the scope of the analysis required in the license conditions described below is complete and available for NRC inspection:
