Letter of Intent - License Application for LIS Technologies Inc (Docket 07007039)
Dear Ms. Kock,
On behalf of Laser Isotope Separation Technologies Inc. (LIST), this letter of intent is being provided to formally notify the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) of our intent to file an application to obtain a license for a uranium enrichment facility and associated materials licenses.
LIST intends to submit an application to the NRC for a license under 10 CFR Part 70 to enrich uranium to less than 10% (LEU+). We estimate that we will submit the application in Spring of 2027.
If that date changes, LIST will promptly notify the NRC. LIST will submit a Regulatory Engagement Plan to the NRC in the coming months.
LIST participated in a pre-application meeting with NRC staff on March 3, 2026, in which we described our path to commercialize our unique laser enrichment technology. We are currently testing, designing, and assessing the safety of a 5.5 MSWU commercial facility, known as Project FUEL (Future Uranium Enrichment with Lasers) to be located in Oak Ridge, TN.
