4th Quarter FY 2025 Email Update re: Consultation between the Osage Nation and the NRC pertaining to Indiana"s request for Agreement Date:

The purpose of this email is to provide an update on the progress of the NRCs review of Indianas request for an Agreement, as of the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025. This email is being sent in accordance with the Consultation Agreement between the Osage Nation and the NRC, as detailed in letter dated March 22, 2022 (ML22018A178). Please excuse the delay as normal operations were ceased during the government shutdown.
Significant Activities/Accomplishments The State published proposed regulations for a public comment period which ended September 19.
The State is responding to NRC comments on the draft application and working with NRC to prepare the final Agreement application.
Status meetings between the State of Indiana and NRC were held on August 6 and September 3.
NRC Region III delivering licensing training with Indiana staff.
Upcoming Activities Indiana anticipates regulations to be finalized within 120 days.
The State plans to submit the final Agreement application when the regulations are finalized.
