RAI-11114-R1-FINAL.pdf Mr. Jenkins, Texas Engineering Experiment Station applied for an amendment, to the Texas A&M University R-23 license, to revise technical specification (TS) 3.5 AGN-201M Reactor Components Stored at the Nuclear Science Center (NSC) Facility. The TS revision would allow removal of specific reactor components for inspection, maintenance, testing, and potential upgrades or replacement in support of the eventual resumption of Aerojet General Nucleonics Model 201 M (AGN-201M) reactor operations.
The NRC staff has reviewed the information provided in the submittal and determined that additional information is required in order to complete the review and approval of the changes. As agreed upon in an email exchange on February 18, 2026, the licensee will respond to the requests for additional information (RAIs) within 30 days. Failure to respond within the 30 days may result in a denial of the application, per 10 CFR 2.108 (a). The RAIs are enclosed.
