SUMMARY
OF FEBRUARY 05, 2026, CLOSED MEETING WITH THE NUCLEAR ENERGY INSTITUTE TO DISCUSS THE NRCS DESIGN BASIS THREAT On February 5, 2026, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a closed meeting with the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI). The purpose of the meeting was to obtain clarification from NEI regarding its October 28, 2025, letter titled Industry Recommendations on Design Basis Threat Revisions (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No.: ML25343A224 - non-public).
The meeting was closed to the public because the discussion involved Safeguards Information.
The meeting notice and agenda, dated January 22, 2026, are available in ADAMS under Accession No. ML26022A323.
