- Matt, Following up on this, the X-energy team would like to provide a presentation on hazard level selection and using the mean vs. 95th percentile value. It would address ambiguities in NEI 18-04 and the PRA Standard and allows for reducing conservatisms in structural design criteria. We have a draft of the presentation, but when would you need the final slides? The presenter anticipates his presentation would take 15-20 minutes to present.

The general topics that we are hoping to cover are 1) advanced reactor risk metrics and their uses in different regulatory applications and 2) advanced reactors operational experience (OpE) databases and associated data challenges/opportunities. X-energy could provide their ideas and approaches to these areas, or focus on a more specific aspect, whatever you all feel would be most useful to the discussion. If you all decide you do want to contribute, could you please provide the following information.
Is there a specific topic you are interested in discussing?
Do you envision having slides, and if so, could you provide them in advance of the workshop?
Do you have an estimate of how much time you would like to have on the agenda?

NRC Advanced Reactor Workshop Planning
- Jessica, The NRC is planning a public workshop to discuss advanced reactor risk assessment topics and thought X-energy would be interested in attending and possibly contributing. Specifically, the workshop will focus on 1) advanced reactor risk metrics and their uses in different regulatory applications and 2) advanced reactors operational experience (OpE) databases and associated data challenges/opportunities. We will use the workshop to discuss the NRCs efforts in these areas and would like to hear from stakeholders on how they are approaching these topics. The expected outcome from the workshop will be to share the NRC efforts in these areas, hear stakeholder perspectives, and gather feedback. Before we start finalizing our workshop plans, we wanted to reach out to you to see if there is interest in contributing at the workshop by providing your perspectives and to see if there are any dates that will not work for you. We are currently targeting the week of July 15th. Matthew Humberstone (on cc) is coordinating this effort for the NRC staff.
