The NRC staff requested this call to seek clarification regarding ACOs submission of ACO 260007, which contains proposed changes to NRSPACOOR0002, Temporary Construction Security Plan for Oak Ridge, TN.
The NRC staff sought clarification on which doors will be in place as outlined in the proposed plan that can be inspected during the upcoming Region II inspection and potential operational readiness review (ORR) for NR-SP-ACO-OR-0002. The participants also addressed language changes within the plan, specifically where terms such as normally or may be appear, to ensure clarity and compliance with security requirements. ACO agreed to make the clarification changes in NRSPACOOR0002.
The following path forward was agreed upon during the call. ACO will submit an updated version of the plan as soon as possible to incorporate the clarifications discussed. This will allow the NRC to complete its review and safeguards evaluation report by February 13, 2026, and Region II to potentially conduct an ORR of the NR-SP-ACO-OR-0002 changes during its scheduled inspection the following week.
