Designation as non-federal representatives for Endangered Species Act Section 7 Good afternoon gents, I am Joe OHara, an environmental PM at NRC. Robert Hoffman and I will be performing environmental project management work for Project Long Mott. We are replacing Joe Giacinto and Tami Dozier who have retired from the Agency.
Ive been asked to reach out to determine if you are interested in receiving a briefing from NRC regarding being designated as a non-federal representative to conduct your own consultation with the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) and the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) under Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act. We believe the consultation process is more efficient because the designated non-federal representative can prepare the biological assessment and communicate directly with FWS and NMFS for the informal consultation. Essentially NRC would not be involved in that process.
Please let me know if that is something X-energy is interested in and I can facilitate a discussion with our experts on this pilot program. Thank you.
