ASSIGNMENT OF PROJECT NUMBER FOR NUCON COMPANY PREAPPLICATION ACTIVITIES RELATED TO NUCLEAR STEAM SUPPLY SYSTEM LICENSING
Dear Mr. Rezvoi:
By letter dated December 30, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML26041A117), NuCon Company (NuCon) requested a project number for commencement of pre-application activities for the licensing of NuCons maritime Small Modular Light Water Reactor for the Maritime Nuclear Propulsion Plants and Floating Nuclear Power Plants.
On January 25, 2026 (ML26033A220), NuCon submitted a supporting Regulatory Engagement Plan.
On February 2, 2026, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) established Project No.: 99902161. Please include this number in all correspondence associated with this project.
The NRC staff will begin to charge fees in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 170, Fees for Facilities, Materials, Import and Export Licenses, and Other Regulatory Services Under the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as Amended, for the licensing and review of this application and any pre-application activities.
