88015 - Nuclear Criticality Safety 88055 - Fire Protection Note: This is a broad list of the documents the NRC inspectors will be interested in obtaining and reviewing during the inspection visit. The current version of these documents is expected unless specified otherwise. The lead inspector can answer questions regarding specific information needs with licensee staff and may request additional documents.
DOCUMENTATION REQUESTED
- 1. Information Requested for NCS Inspection
- a. Any NCS Program procedures (e.g., those related to NCS review of events and establishment of corrective actions, NCS audits and walk-throughs, NCS engineer qualification, development of NCSEs, NCS-related emergency response) that are newly created or have been revised since the last NCS inspection (in early February of 2025)
- b. The current Validation Report (if revised since the last NCS inspection).
- c. Most recent verification report for NCS software/computer codes (e.g., SCALE) that have been used for safety basis calculations for the computers they are run on.
- d. The current Nuclear Data Handbook
- e. The audits of the NCS program (since the last NCS inspection) by QA or external organizations, and any annual NCS self-assessments by fissile material operation management since the last NCS inspection.
- f.
The NCS walk-through reports since the last NCS inspection; and the schedule for NCS walk-throughs in 2026, if any.
- g. A list of the NCSEs, NCS-related calculation documents (DACs, EEs, etc), NFMOs and NCSRs that have been created or revised since the last NCS inspection (if it is a short list please just provide them all, if it is a long list Ill select a few for review)
- h. A list of NCS and CAAS-related Corrective Action Program entries, events reports, and issue/significance screening documents since the last NCS inspection
i.
Documentation of any CAAS design changes in since the last NCS inspection, including any changes to the placement calculations, design or logic changes to the system, or physical changes to the plant that would alter CAAS coverage.
j.
The most recent detector logic testing (e.g., 2 out of 3 testing with a source), the most recent detector setpoint calibration tests.
k.
Current NCS training material and plans for operators who perform fissile material operations.
l.
Current NCS training material and plans for managers/supervisors who are responsible for fissile material operations.
- m. Qualification records for any NCS staff who have completed qualification as an NCS Engineer or as a Senior NCS Engineer since the last NCS inspection.
n.
Training material related to NCS support for emergency response, and records of NCS and CAAS evacuation drills since the last NCS inspection.
o.
Any changes to NCS related emergency response procedures, maps, or calculations since the last inspection.

List of Corrective Action Program entries related to fire safety since the last FP inspection (in March of 2024) b.
Any internal or external audits of the FP program since the last FP inspection c.
FP program procedures/policies (e.g., combustible control program procedure, hot work procedures, flammable liquid storage procedure, etc.)
d.
The current pre-fire plan for buildings with SNM e.
List of any out-of-service or degraded fire protection components and compensatory measures (impairments) f.
Records of inspection/surveillance/tests for hose stations, fire barriers, sprinkler systems, alarms, portable fire extinguishers and related FP equipment and supply stations since the last FP inspection g.
Any FP-related briefings or presentations to the Plant Safety Review Committee h.
Records of FP building/facility inspections performed since the last FP inspection i.
Qualification/Training records for those who write Hot Work Permits j.
Training material for fire watch personnel k.
Any FHAs that have been created or revised since the last FP inspection 3.
Activities Requested for On-Site Inspection
- a. A walkdown major process areas, including of the NCS and FP IROFS and controls, the CAAS, and the control room for Tuesday morning or Monday afternoon.
- b. Schedule a walk-through by an NCS engineer, which we plan to accompany.
c.
List or schedule of any planned CAAS tests and calibrations; NCS related IROFS tests, PMs, or calibrations scheduled for the inspection week; and other NCS related activities occurring during the inspection week.

- e. Selected NCSEs, CAP entries, etc for review (requests will be from the lists provided) as well as selected IROFS surveillances.

Discussion of any NCS Non-destructive assay IROFS or management measures.
