- 42 inspections completed with 18 Non-cited Violations (NCVs) identified.
- Due to consistency across the NRC regions/inspections, the NRC cross-regional review panels before inspection report issuance was discontinued in December 2025.
- Due to major overhaul of the entire NRC inspection program, commercial-grade dedication (CGD) inspections will end early (likely July 2026).
3 New engineering inspection (replacing Comprehensive Engineering Team Inspections, and Focused Engineering Inspections, which CGD is a part of)
- Annual inspection - 2 weeks onsite with 2.5 inspectors (2 regional, one resident inspector)
- Can cover any engineering topic of the past
- NRC inspectors will inform site ahead of inspections which procedures theyll use.
- Needs Commission approval

- When using commercial-grade surveys as part of the CGD process, a commercial-grade survey report is the dedication documentation and quality assurance record and must be retained as a permanent record for the dedicated component.
- Properly translating all design requirements into critical characteristics.

- The purpose of the IN is to alert the nuclear industry to recent information related to lessons learned from the CGD inspections at nuclear power plants.
CGD inspections are being implemented properly.
Licensees are conducting CGD adequately, with mostly minor issues identified so far.
