Attached please find NRC Form 898, Topical Report Completeness Determination, that the NRC staff has prepared for report number HI-2251395 Revision 0, SMR-300 Instrumentation and Control Architecture Licensing Topical Report. The estimated due dates for several milestones, including the issuance of a Request for Additional Information (RAI), and completion of the Draft Safety Evaluation (SE) and Final SE are shown on the form. The review schedule assumes a timely response to audit issues and a 30-day response to RAIs (if applicable).
To meet the estimated milestones, the NRC staff has identified several areas that will require near term engagement. As such, the NRC staff plans to begin an audit as soon as practicable. The NRC staff will discuss the anticipated audit dates with SMR (Holtec) via separate communication.
The dates and resource estimates are subject to change as they may be affected by the timeline of resolution of technical issues or other factors. The NRC staff will communicate any significant changes to the estimated schedule milestones and/or review hours to SMR (Holtec) via a separate letter.
