Dear Mr. Sun,

Thank you for your submission of an initiation letter for environmental review of the Global Laser Enrichment, LLC (GLE) application for a license to construct and operate a uranium enrichment facility near Paducah.

Our office provided comment on the cultural historic report, historic resource survey forms, and archaeology report in KHC letter 252105, dated September 19, 2025. We have no additional comments at this time.

We look forward to continued consultation regarding this undertaking, including receipt of the draft Environmental Impact Statement, currently anticipated in the spring of 2026. Should you have any questions, please contact Patti Hutchins of my staff at Patricia.Hutchins@ky.gov.
