Subject:

Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation Radioactive Effluent Release Report In accordance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 72, Section 44, License conditions, paragraph (d)(3), 10 CFR 72.44(d)(3), and Holtec HI-STORM Flood/Wind (FW) Multipurpose Canister (MPC) Certificate of Compliance, Appendix A, Technical Specifications, Section 5.1, Holtec Palisades, LLC (Holtec Palisades) is submitting the radioactive effluent release report for the independent spent fuel storage installation (ISFSI) located at the Palisades Nuclear Plant (PNP). The purpose of the report is to specify the quantity of each of the principal radionuclides released to the environment in liquid and gaseous effluents. This report addresses the operation of the ISFSI located at PNP from November 4, 2024, through November 3, 2025.

The spent fuel storage cask systems employed at PNP do not create any radioactive material or have any radioactive waste treatment components. There is no gaseous or liquid pathway attributed to the spent fuel stored in the independent spent fuel storage facility. Radiological surveys and current postings were reviewed and demonstrated that no radionuclides were released to the environment in liquid or gaseous effluents during this reporting period. There is no impact to members of the public from the operation of the PNP ISFSI.

This fulfills the reporting requirements of 10 CFR 72.44(d)(3) and the HI-STORM FW MPC Technical Specifications, Section 5.1.

This letter contains no new commitments and no revision to existing commitments.
