SUMMARY
OF JULY 31, 2025, MEETING WITH EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS DISCUSSING PERSPECTIVES ON RECENT SECURITY EVENT NOTIFICATIONS On July 31, 2025, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a virtual public meeting using Microsoft Teams with approximately 97 participants. The NRC staff conducted the meeting in accordance with NRC Management Directive 3.5, Attendance at NRC Staff-Sponsored Meetings (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)
Accession No. ML21180A271). During this meeting NRC staff discussed its perspectives on recent physical security event notifications submitted to the NRC under 10 CFR 73.1200, Notification of physical security events. Industry (the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI)) also presented their perspectives on this topic.
The notice for this meeting is found in (ML25210A366) along with other supporting information in ADAMS package ML25198A135. The NRC staff discussed their presentation during the meeting and addressed questions from the attendees. NEI also discussed their presentation on this topic.
