By letter dated August 1, 2025, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System
[ADAMS] Accession No. ML25213A096, you submitted an application to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for amendment 14 of the Holtect HI-STAR 100 certificate of compliance (CoC) No. 9261. In your application, you requested the following changes:
Changes to the SAR to update maximum burnup in the MPC-32.
By email dated September 15, 2025, (ML25272A106), staff accepted the application for review with observations and provided an initial review schedule. The purpose of this e-mail is to provide an update to the staffs review schedule. Due to a lapse in appropriations, the staffs review was suspended. The staff estimate for this review remains approximately 225 hours0.0026 days <br />0.0625 hours <br />3.720238e-4 weeks <br />8.56125e-5 months <br />. However, the milestones have been delayed by the suspension. The revised schedule includes the issuance of a request for additional information (RAI) in February 2026, if needed, and receiving your response by March 2026. The staff expects to complete the formal review and issue a certificate by May 2026.
As a reminder, your submittal has been assigned Cost Activity Code (CAC)/Enterprise Project Identification Number (EPID) [001029 / L-2025-LLA-0119]. Please reference this number and Docket No. 71-9261 in any future correspondence associated with this request.
