UPDATE - Crow Butte Project and Marsland Expansion Area in Dawes County, Nebraska Date:

image001.png Good day,
By letter dated September 17, 2025 (ML25253A339), which was included in an email dated September 23, 2025, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) initiated Section 106 consultation for the license renewal application for Crow Butte Resources, Inc.s Crow Butte Project and Marsland Expansion Area. In addition to soliciting comments or concerns, the correspondence also described a closed informational virtual meeting with Tribes which was tentatively planned for October 2025.
As a result of the shutdown caused by the U.S. Governments lapse in appropriations, the NRC staff is planning to re-schedule the virtual (closed) government-to-government information and listening meeting with Tribes - please let us know your availability for the first half of January 2026. Also, please submit any comments or concerns you may have to offer on the NRCs Section 106 consultation and historic and cultural resources evaluation within 30 days.
Consistent with NRC policy, correspondence received by NRC will be made publicly available unless specifically requested otherwise. Any sensitive cultural information will be kept non-public.
Please reply to this email with your availability for a meeting in the first half of January.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
- Regards,
Beau J. Goldstein, RPA Environmental Project Manager U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Office of Nuclear Materials Safety and Safeguards
