SUMMARY
SUBMITTAL PUBLIC MEETING WITH WESTINGHOUSE COLUMBIA FUEL FABRICATION FACILITY On September 08, 2025, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a virtual partially closed public meeting with Westinghouse Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility (Westinghouse CFFF) staff. Westinghouse CFFF staff requested this meeting to discuss the license amendment request and integrated safety analysis summary for their proposed low enriched uranium plus facility expansion at their currently licensed fuel fabrication facility in Hopkins, South Carolina. This facility expansion will be used to manufacture light water reactor fuel enriched up to 8 percent uranium-235. The first session of the meeting was open to the public while the second session was closed to the public for discussion of proprietary information. The meeting notice and agenda, dated August 25, 2025, are available in the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at Accession No. ML25237A210. The Westinghouse CFFF staff presentations for the open (public) session (ML25246C211) and closed (non-public) session (ML25246C212) are also in ADAMS. The list of attendees and summaries of the open and closed sessions are enclosed.
