OF THE SEPTEMBER 3, 2025, PARTIALLY CLOSED MEETING WITH RADIANT INDUSTRIES RELATED TO ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW AND MANUFACTURING FACILITY SITE DISCUSSION Meeting Information:

On September 3, 2025, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a public meeting with Radiant staff to discuss their future regulatory engagement.

This was a partially closed observation meeting. Radiant presented an overview of the company and reactor design. Slides are available in ADAMS Accession No. ML25245A114.

Meeting Summary:

Public Session The NRC staff began the meeting with introductions and explained that a portion of the meeting would be closed to the public to discuss proprietary information.

Radiant presented slides (publicly available)

The initial discussion was an overview of Radiant and a discussion of the Kaleidos reactor.

o Radiant has approximately 100 employees, and a 38,000 sq ft facility in El Segundo, California. They plan to announce the location of their 350,000 sq.

ft. Kaleidos Reactor Factory in the fall of 2025 o Kaleidos is a 1MW electric (1.9 MW thermal) reactor with the nuclear and electricity generation components contained in one container.

o Radiant was competitively selected by DOE as the 1st nuclear reactor design to be tested in the demonstration of microreactor experiments.

Radiant discussed their site selection process. Initially, Radiant evaluated sites in 10 states and has since narrowed the potential sites to four states.

Closed Session Discussion of topics that involve propriety information.

No regulatory decisions were made as a result of this meeting.
