U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION STAFFS FEEDBACK ON THE OKLO INC. FOLLOW-UP QUESTIONS RELATED TO OKLOS LICENSING APPROACH FOR FUEL RECYCLING FACILITY

Dear Ross Moore:

By letter dated September 10, 2024, Oklo Inc. (Oklo) submitted its white paper titled Licensing Approach for the Oklo Fuel Recycling Facility (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession No. ML24254A332, enclosures 1 and 3 non-public, see ADAMS Accession No. ML24261B956). By letter dated June 5, 2025, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff provided feedback on Oklos white paper (ML25143A009, enclosure non-public). By letter dated August 20, 2025 (ML25232A274, non-public), Oklo submitted follow-up questions related to the licensing approach white paper and the previously provided NRC staffs feedback.

The enclosure to this letter provides the NRC staffs feedback on the follow-up questions. Note that the NRC staffs feedback in the enclosure to this letter is not intended to be comprehensive.

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 2, Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs ADAMS.
