Kairos KP-FHR Core Design and Analysis Methodology Topical Report - Draft Audit Report Jim Tomkins Kairos Power, LLC 707 W. Tower Ave, Suite A Alameda, CA 94501 Mr. Tomkins, By letter dated April 3, 2024, Kairos Power, LLC (Kairos) submitted for U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff review KP-TR-024-P, KP-FHR Core Design and Analysis Methodology, Revision 0 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML24095A255). On August 22, 2024, the NRC issued an audit plan for the purpose of gaining a better understanding of KP-TR-024-P (ML24222A276). In many cases Kairos updated the TR to resolve items discussed in the audit. By letter dated June 17, 2025, Kairos submitted Revision 1 of KP-TR-024-P (ML25168A340). The NRC staff has completed this audit and prepared a draft audit summary report.
A copy of the draft audit summary report has been placed in the NRCs external sharepoint site to which you and Joe-Nimique Cilliers have been given access. The draft audit summary report is being provided for a proprietary information review. Pursuant to Section 2.390 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR), we have determined that the draft audit summary report may contain proprietary export-controlled information. If Kairos identifies any proprietary export-controlled information in the draft audit summary report, please identify such information line-by-line and define the basis pursuant to the criteria of 10 CFR 2.390. Use double brackets and yellow highlight to identify any ((proprietary or export-controlled information)). Please provide your response within 10 working days.
Both this email and the draft audit summary report have been placed in ADAMS and made Official Agency Records. The draft audit summary report is declared as nonpublic because it may contain proprietary information. This email is declared public.
