OF CLOSED PRE-SUBMITTAL MEETING FOR WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC COMPANY TOPICAL REPORT WCAP-16996-P-A, REVISION 1, SUPPLEMENT 2, REVISION 0, EXTENSION OF THE FULL SPECTRUM LOCA (FSLOCA) EM TO CE-NSSS PWRS (PROPRIETARY/NON-PROPRIETARY)
On August 28, 2025, a closed pre-submittal meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR), Division of Operating Reactor Licensing (DORL) and Division of Safety Systems staff, and Westinghouse Electric Company (Westinghouse) representatives. The meeting was held virtually. The purpose of the meeting was for Westinghouse representatives to present proprietary information related to the future submittal of Westinghouse Topical Report (TR) WCAP-16996-P-A, Revision 1, Supplement 2, Revision 0, Extension of the FULL SPECTRUM LOCA (FSLOCA) EM to CE-NSSS PWRs (Proprietary/Non-Proprietary). The Westinghouse representatives provided details on current licensed applicability for the FULL SPECTRUM' LOCA (FSLOCA')
evaluation model (EM), EM development and assessment process in relation to the extension methodology, key differences relative to Westinghouse plant designs, plant model and sample results, and an overview of Westinghouses integrated licensing plan. No regulatory decisions were made during the meeting.
By letter dated August 21, 2025, Westinghouse submitted presentation slides to the NRC (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML25234A072). The meeting notice is available in ADAMS (ML25212A097). The list of attendees is enclosed.
