QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM APPROVAL FOR RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL PACKAGES NO. 0008, REVISION 16
Dear David P. Rhoades:
Enclosed is the revised Quality Assurance Program (QAP) Approval for Radioactive Material Packages No. 0008, Revision 16, in response to your request for a revision to your QAP dated July 18, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession No. ML25199A100). This Approval satisfies the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Sections 71.17(b) and 71.101(c) for a QAP approved by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
Termination of your materials license does not cause this Approval to be automatically terminated. If you wish to amend this Approval and have determined it reduces commitments, or terminate this Approval, please request it in writing.
This letter also serves as a reminder that if you are using or planning to use an NRC-approved package, you must be registered for use of that package with the NRC. Registration for use of NRC-approved packages should be made pursuant to 10 CFR 71.17(c)(3).
In accordance with 10 CFR Part 2, ³Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure,' a copy of this letter and enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRC¶s ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html. The PDR is open by appointment.
