By letter dated June4,2024, Kairos Power, LLC (Kairos) submitted for U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff review KP-TR-020-P, Safety Analysis Methodology for the Kairos Power Fluoride Salt-Cooled High-Temperature Test Reactor, Revision0 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML24156A162).
Revision 1 was submitted on July 29, 2025 (ML25210A576). Based on its review of the information submitted in Revision 1 of this TR, the NRC staff finds that KP-TR-020-P, Revision 1 is acceptable for referencing subject to the limitations specified in the TR and in the NRC safety evaluation (SE).
A copy of the draft SE has been placed in the NRC external SharePoint site to which you and Delaney Simmons have been given access. The draft SE is being provided for a proprietary information review. Pursuant to Section 2.390 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR), we have determined that the draft SE may contain proprietary export controlled information. If Kairos identifies any proprietary export controlled information in the draft SE, please identify such information line-by-line and define the basis pursuant to the criteria of 10 CFR 2.390.Use double brackets and yellow highlight to identify any ((proprietary or export controlled information)).After 10 working days, the draft SE will be made publicly available, if appropriate.
