Fear of the Holtec Palisades Plant placing my family in jeopardy by shortcutting the replacement of seriously degraded safety devices. These are the current industry standard and prolongs an unacceptable risk. UNACCEPTABLE..!!!
When I wrote to communicate with the Commission back a couple of years ago I recall hearing you say that we had never restarted a decommissioned plant and that the restart would be, of necessity, consistent with current operational and safety requirements. Keep your comments sacred and protect my family, my neighbors and the pristine Lake Michigan coastline and dunes safe. We must not be guinea pigs in the resultant environment.
I am forwarding the letter from my neighbor, Dillon Reed, sent earlier today. Please reread his comments and similar concerns. We are all in this together and would think that SAFETY WILL REMAIN YOUR TOP PRIORITY IN THE RESTART OF THE PLANT and/or the installation of SNRs.

I have lived less than 1 mile from the Holtec nuclear power plant in Covert MI, since 1983.
I have constantly been concerned about multiple unsafe operational conditions at this 50+ year old
plant for many years.
Especially, the waiver of Fire Protection Safety Upgrades established for all nuclear industryplants that have been ignored or disregarded at this plant in recent years.
I am requesting that the current industry Fire Protection Safety Standards be applied & adhered to at this location for the protection & safety of life of the surrounding public citizens.
