Subject:

Adoption of Amendment 7 Revision 1 of NAC MPC Certificate of Compliance No. 72-1025 and Canister Registration In 2012, Dairyland Power Cooperative (DPC) notified the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) that the 5 NAC-MPC canisters storing spent nuclear fuel at the La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor (LACBWR) Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) in Genoa, Wisconsin would be registered to Amendment 6 of the NAC MPC System Certificate of Compliance No. 72-1025 (Reference 1). On March 15, 2023, the DPC adopted Amendment No. 7 to Certificate of Compliance (CoC) No. 1025 for the NAC-MPC System (Reference 2).

On May 13, 2025, the NRC issued Amendment No. 9 and Revision 1 to Amendment Nos. 6, 7, and 8 to the Certificate of Compliance (CoC) No. 1025 for the NAC-MPC System (Reference 3).

In accordance with 10 CFR 72.212(b)(2) and 10 CFR 72.4, DPC is notifying the NRC that those canisters will now be registered to Amendment 7 Revision 1 of the NAC-MPC System Certificate of Compliance No. 72-1025 (Attachment 1). This change was effective on July 31st, 2025.
