OF THE JULY 29, 2025, PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION STAFF INFORMATION NEEDS FOR BLUE ENERGY QAPD LTR - BE-QAPD-001, REVISION 1, "QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM DESCRIPTION,"
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held an Observation public meeting on July 29, 2025, to discuss NRC staff information needs for the Blue Energy (BE) QAPD LTR -
BE-QAPD-001, Revision 1, "Quality Assurance Program Description," review (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML25128A357; May 8, 2025). The NRC staff information needs document, dated July 18, 2025, can be found under ML25199A191.
During the meeting, BE and NRC staff discussed all 20 items that are contained in the information needs document. BE sought clarification on items 2, 3, 16, 19 and 20. With the clarification provided by the NRC staff, BE understood and agreed to the content of all 20 items and committed to voluntarily update the QAPD TR. BE stated they would provide a schedule for the next revision after discussing internally and that they would designate it as Revision 2.
There were no public comments. No regulatory decisions were discussed or made at this meeting.
