SUMMARY
OF THE AUGUST 6, 2025, PRE-APPLICATION READINESS ASSESSMENT PUBLIC MEETING WITH KEWAUNEE SOLUTIONS TO DISCUSS THE KEWAUNEE LICENSE TERMINATION PLAN STRATEGY The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held an open observation public meeting on August 6, 2025, with Kewaunee Solutions, LLC (Kewaunee) to discuss the License Termination Plan licensing strategy for the Kewaunee Nuclear Power Station consistent with NRR Office Instruction LIC-116,Preapplication Readiness Assessment (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML20104B698). Kewaunee provided preapplication meeting materials. This meeting summary satisfies the Kewaunee request for review and feedback on its licensing strategy and preapplication readiness meeting materials regarding its overall approach to preparing the License Termination Plan for the Kewaunee Nuclear Power Station.
Preapplication engagements, including this meeting, provide an opportunity for the NRC staff to engage in early discussions with a licensee, offer licensing guidance, and identify potential licensing issues early in the process. No decisions or commitments were made during the preapplication meeting.
The NRC issued the public meeting notice and posted it on the NRC public website.
