- Ken, By letter dated January 24, 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML25024A238), as supplemented by letter dated June 10, 2025 (ML25161A087), Southern Nuclear Company (SNC, the licensee) submitted a license amendment request (LAR) for the Vogtle Electric Generating Station (Vogtle), Units 3 and 4. Specifically, the change proposes to modify Vogtle, Units 3 and 4, Combined Operating License (COL) Appendix A, Technical Specification (TS), 3.3.15, Engineered Safety Feature Actuation System (ESFAS)
Actuation Logic-Operating, and TS 3.3.16, Engineered Safety Feature Actuation System (ESFAS) Actuation Logic - Shutdown, to move Surveillance Requirements (SRs) to other limiting conditions for operation to more appropriately address the scope and the required actions for the various components.
By email dated February 21, 2025 (ML25052A256), the NRC accepted the LAR for review and estimated that this LAR would take approximately 610 hours0.00706 days <br />0.169 hours <br />0.00101 weeks <br />2.32105e-4 months <br /> to complete and be completed by November 19, 2025.
The NRC staff was able to realign staff assignments and readjust workloads; therefore, the revised completion date is September 30, 2025, and the revised estimated hours is 400 hours0.00463 days <br />0.111 hours <br />6.613757e-4 weeks <br />1.522e-4 months <br />.
