Dear Dir. Fox:
Enclosed is export license application, XSNM3853, accepted for review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission on July 15, 2025. In this application, the U.S. Department of Energy is seeking approval to export 165.5 kilograms (kgs) of uranium, enriched up to 19.5%, containing 33.0170 kgs of uranium-235 in the form of metal pieces. The uranium will be fabricated into fuel in France and used for fuel at the MARIA Research Reactor located in Poland.
Assurances from Euratom that the material will be subject to all the terms and conditions of the agreement for cooperation are required. Please contact Andrea R.
