REQUEST FOR LIBRARY TO MAINTAIN A COPY OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL REPORT FOR THE PROPOSED GLOBAL LASER ENRICHMENT, LLC PADUCAH LASER ENRICHMENT FACILITY IN MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY (DOCKET NUMBER: 070-07033)
Dear Justin Brasher:
The purpose of this letter is to kindly request that the copy of the enclosed document be made publicly available for review. The enclosed document is the environmental report (ER) for the proposed Global Laser Enrichment, LLC (GLE) Paducah Laser Enrichment Facility in McCracken County, Kentucky. The ER provides GLEs description of the proposed project and potential environmental impacts. The proposed project is to construct and operate a uranium enrichment facility in McCracken County, approximately 5 miles west of Paducah, Kentucky.
On August 5, 2025, you and I spoke about this request and that Ms. Lea Wentworth, Adult Services Manager, would be handling the document when it arrives at your library.
The ER is publicly available from the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package ML25164A077. ADAMS is accessible from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) website at https://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
We appreciate your willingness to assist the public in participating in NRCs environmental review process. The review period is estimated to extend through November 2025. After the review period is completed, the library may dispose of this document.
