REQUEST FOR HEARING AND PETITION TO INTERVENE AND PETITIONERS MOTION FOR PROCEDURAL RELIEF PURSUANT TO 10 CFR § 2.323 REQUEST FOR BOARD ACTION TO PRESERVE ADJUDICATORY JURISDICTION AND PREVENT PREMATURE FUEL LOADING REGARDING THE LICENSE AMMENDMENT APPLICATION FROM HOLTEC PALISADES, LLC FOR PALISADES NUCLEAR PLANT (DOCKET NO. 50-255-LA-5)
The Office of the Secretary has received a request for hearing and petition to intervene and a motion for procedural relief pursuant to 10 CFR § 2.323 from Alan Blind on behalf of several homeowners within the Palisades Emergency Planning Zone. The request, which was submitted through the E-Filing System on July 30, 2025, is in response to the license amendment application from Holtec Palisades, LLC (Docket No. 50-255-LA-5), as published in the Federal Register on July 18, 2025 (90 Fed. Reg. 34019). The request for hearing and petition to intervene and motion for procedural relief pursuant to 10 CFR § 2.323 can be found in ADAMS under Accession Numbers ML25211A234 and ML25211A236, respectively, and on the Electronic Hearing Docket.
The request is being referred to you for appropriate action in accordance with 10 C.F.R.
§ 2.346(i). This referral memorandum is being served on the E-Filing service list for the Palisades Nuclear Plant proceeding, Docket No. 50-255-LA-5.
