This is an Observation Meeting. This is a meeting in which attendees will have an opportunity to observe the NRC performing its regulatory function or discussing regulatory issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed following the business portion of the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.
Purpose:
Grants Energy is meeting via webinar with members of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff to discuss the hydrology, geology, and collection of baseline groundwater data at the site of the proposed uranium in-situ recovery (ISR) project, near San Mateo, NM.
This meeting follows a June 25, 2025 meeting in which Grants Energy and the NRC staff discussed the proposed project and licensing process. A summary of the previous meeting can be accessed via Agencywide Document Access Management System (ADAMS)
