UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WASHINGTON, D.C. 20555-0001 August 11, 2025 Dominic J. Mancini, Deputy Administrator Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs Office of Management and Budget 725 17th Street NW Washington, DC 20503
Dear Dr. Mancini,
This letter relates to your e-mail dated January 31, 2025, entitled "Initial Guidance on Information Collections, and Systems of Records and Matching Programs."
In order to determine how the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) can most effectively implement the guidance in your e-mail within the context of the NRC's organizational structure, staff from the NRC reached out to your office to discuss further. In accordance with those discussions, I am hereby informing you that Michael King, the agency's acting Executive Director for Operations, will review NRC requests for urgent approvals of information collections, Federal Register notices to create new information collections or to extend or revise currently approved information collections, and other materials related to information collections as needed to ensure they are not inconsistent with this Administration's priorities. I have confidence in his ability to perform this function.
Sincerely, David A. Wright
