Resident Inspector Program Inspectors live in the community and work at the Nuclear Power Plants.
Daily coverage and oversight of plant activities, including control room visits and routine meetings with plant managers.
Prioritize inspections based on important plant activity.
Resident Inspector Program Observe emergency exercises and provide support for any real emergencies or urgent issues
Resident Inspector Program Support NRC allegation process for plant employees and the public Routinely discuss safety concerns with plant management and operators
North Anna Power Station Findings and Performance Indicators Dominion Energy operated the North Anna Power Station safely and in a manner that preserved public health and safety and protected the environment.
All findings and performance indicators (PIs) in 2024 were Green or White.
All PIs were Green (no performance thresholds exceeded) 3 Green findings (with 2 associated non-cited violations) 1 White finding (with an associated cited violation)
North Anna Power Station Findings and Performance Indicators Unit 1 remained in the Licensee Response Column of the NRCs ROP Action Matrix throughout 2024.
Unit 2 was in the Licensee Response Column for the entire assessment period except for a portion of the 4th Quarter, when the unit was in the Regulatory Response Column of the Action Matrix for a white finding in the Mitigating Systems Cornerstone.
North Anna Power Station Findings and Performance Indicators A 95001 supplemental inspection and Regulatory Performance Meeting were completed, and the finding was closed on December 19, 2024.
Following completion of the 95001 inspection Unit 2 returned to the Licensee Response Column in 4th Quarter 2024.
NRC plans to conduct routine baseline inspections in 2025.
Surry Power Station Findings and Performance Indicators Dominion Energy operated the Surry Power Station safely and in a manner that preserved public health and safety and protected the environment.
All findings and performance indicators (PIs) in 2024 were Green.
All PIs were Green (no performance thresholds exceeded) 8 Green findings (with 6 associated non-cited violations)
Surry Power Station Units 1 & 2 remained in the Licensee Response Column of the NRCs ROP Action Matrix throughout 2024.
