OF THE JULY 10, 2025, PUBLIC OUTREACH TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2024 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF DONALD C. COOK NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 On July 10, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (EDT), an information meeting with a question-and-answer session was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2024 End-of-Cycle plant performance assessment of Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2, along with general information on the NRC. The open house was held at the Silver Beach Center in St. Joseph, Michigan. The NRC discussed plant performance with members of the public in attendance at this meeting.
The NRC discussed their assessment of the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant, as documented in the March 11, 2025, End-of-Cycle Assessment Letter (ADAMS Accession Number ML25063A312) during the public outreach. The NRC made various resources available to those in attendance, such as the assessment letter, inspection reports, fact sheets and brochures, and other public documents. Members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff.
