Final RCIs-RAIs (1).docx Good Afternoon,
On June 13, 2025, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff issued draft Requests for Additional Information (RAIs) to Florida Power & Light Company (FPL, the licensee). The RAIs are related to the licensees submittal, dated November 26, 2024, (Agencywide Documents and Access Management System (ADAMS)
Accession Nos. ML24331A249 (Non-Proprietary) and ML24331A255(Proprietary),
regarding proposed changes to the Technical Specifications (TS), for St. Lucie Nuclear Plant, Unit 2. The proposed license amendment would revise St. Lucie Unit 2 Technical Specification (TS) 5.5.16, Surveillance Frequency Control Program (SFCP), to increase certain Surveillance Requirement (SR) Frequencies to support St. Lucie Unit 2 transition to 24 month fuel cycles.
On July 1, 2025, the NRC and FPL held a conference call to clarify the Draft RAIs. At the conclusion of the call, FPL informed the NRC staff that the information requested was understood and that no additional clarification of the RAIs was necessary. A publicly available version of this final RAI (with the term Draft removed) will be placed in ADAMS. As agreed, please provide a response to the specified RAIs within 30 days of this correspondence.
