NEI 22-01, REVISION 1, LICENSE TERMINATION PROCESS - REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (EPID L-2025-NFO-0004)
Dear Bruce Montgomery:
By letter dated January 6, 2025, the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) submitted technical report NEI2201, Revision 1, License Termination Process, on behalf of its members for U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) review and endorsement. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff has reviewed the licensees submittal and determined that additional information is needed in order to complete the review. The request for additional information (RAI) is attached. A public meeting was held on July 2, 2025, to ensure that the draft questions which were sent to you were understandable, the regulatory basis for the questions was clear, and to determine if the information was previously docketed. Based on insight from the discussion it was determined that the final RAIs will be issued and a response will be provided within 30 days to be submitted by August 4, 2025.
