FERMI AMERICA - ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF PART ONE OF THE COMBINED LICENSE APPLICATION FOR THE PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP ADVANCED ENERGY AND INTELLIGENCE CAMPUS, UNITS 1 THROUGH 4
Dear Mr. Neugebauer:
This letter confirms that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has received initial submittal of a combined license application (COLA) from Fermi America for the development of a four-unit Westinghouse AP1000 nuclear power plant in Carson County, Texas, as part of a hybrid energy and data infrastructure project known as the President Donald J. Trump Advanced Energy and Intelligence Campus, or Project Matador. The submittal, dated June 17, 2025, can be found in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) under Accession No. ML25169A395.
The application has been assigned Project Number 999-2146. Please reference this project number in all future correspondence regarding this application.
As requested in your cover letter dated June 17, 2025, the NRC is prepared to engage on the submittal to enable development of the supplemental information needed for the successful completion of the COLA. Once we have received the complete, high quality application, the NRC will complete its licensing review within the 18-month timeframe specified in Executive Order 14300, Ordering the Reform of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
