CLOSURE OF INVESTIGATION (OI 4-2024-018)
Dear Khalil Dia:
This refers to an investigation conducted by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs)
Office of Investigations regarding activities at Cooper Nuclear Station. The Office of Investigations initiated the investigation to determine whether a security officer deliberately failed to safely handle weapons at Cooper Nuclear Station.
Based on the evidence developed during the investigation, the concern that a security officer deliberately failed to safely handle weapons at Cooper Nuclear Station was not substantiated.
The NRC plans no further action related to the willful aspect of this allegation and considers this investigation closed.
