Attachment to 001012 Page 1 of 1 Summary of Changes to One Procedure that Implements the Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP) for Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS)
- 1. Procedure EPP 06-009, Drill and Exercise Requirements, Rev. 14 Procedure EPP 06-009 has been revised. The procedure has been changed in response to the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO)/World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) Emergency Management Performance Evaluation (EMPE) observation that was documented in the stations Corrective Action Program under Condition Report (CR) 10040580. The observation noted that drill objectives are specified in EPP 06-009, but the drill objectives for the 8-year cycle were not referenced with a direct connection to the periodicity requirements.
The changes provide enhanced guidance for emergency planning staff who implement and track the drill objectives within the regulatory periodicity requirements. This change restructures and reorganizes Section 7.1, Drill and Exercise Programs, to provide enhanced guidance to ensure required drill objectives are linked to their associated periodicity requirements. The restructure and reorganization of the steps provides better structure and flow.
These changes do not reduce the effectiveness of the Wolf Creek Radiological Emergency Response Plan.
