OF CLOSED HYBRID PRE-SUBMITTAL MEETING FOR WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC COMPANY TOPICAL REPORT WCAP-18483-P/NP (EPID: L-2025-LRM-0048)
On June 5, 2025, a closed pre-submittal meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Westinghouse Electric Company (Westinghouse) representatives. The meeting was held in a hybrid format (in-person and virtual attendance).
The purpose of the meeting was for Westinghouse representatives to present proprietary information related to the future submittal of Westinghouse Topical Report (TR)
WCAP-18483-P/NP. The Westinghouse representatives provided an overview of the TRs licensing strategy. Additionally, the Westinghouse representatives presented details on the chromium-coated cladding, implementation within the existing NRC-approved analytical methods, and submittal timeline. No regulatory decisions were made during the meeting.
By letter dated June 4, 2025, Westinghouse submitted presentation slides to the NRC (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML25155B874). The meeting was noticed on May 2, 2025, and the meeting notice is available in ADAMS under Accession No. ML25136A318. The list of attendees is enclosed.
