EAF-RIV-2025-0059 On May 28, 2025, representatives of NorthStar Vallecitos, LLC, met with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) at the Region IV office located in Arlington, Texas, to discuss an apparent violation identified in NRC Inspection Report 07000754/2025006, dated April 16, 2025 (NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No.
(ML25107A177). The conference was held at the request of the licensee and was closed to public observation because it involved security-related information. The conference was conducted in-person with some NRC participants attending remotely via Microsoft Teams. The list of attendees is provided as an enclosure to this summary.
During the NRCs presentation, staff discussed the apparent violation that was described in the April 16, 2025, inspection report and provided an overview of the NRC Enforcement Program.
The licensees representatives presented a summary of the circumstances surrounding the identified apparent violation, the apparent causes, and the licensees corrective actions. At the end of the discussion, the NRC asked several questions and informed the licensee that it would consider the additional information presented during the meeting before making any final enforcement decisions.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this summary and its enclosure will be made available to the public.
