SUMMARY
OF THE APRIL 29, 2025, CLOSED PRE-APPLICATION MEETING WITH THE PRESSURIZED WATER REACTOR OWNERS GROUP TO DISCUSS THE PROPOSED TOPICAL REPORT FOR AN ON-LINE MONITORING PROGRAM On April 29, 2025, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff met with representatives from the Pressurized Water Reactor Owners Group (PWROG) at the Dominion Energy Offices in the state of Virginia to discuss the preapplication of a proposed on-line monitoring (OLM) program for technical specification (TS) instrumentation. The meeting notice and agenda for the closed meeting are available in the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at Accession No. ML25104A165. The meeting attendance list is enclosed in this summary.
Due to the proprietary nature of the discussion, the meeting was closed to the public. The main purpose of the meeting was to observe an OLM demonstration and discuss preapplication topics prior to PWROGs topical report submittal for NRC review. The PWROG representatives presented a rationale for monitoring of the TS instrumentation. This was a follow-up discussion to previous meetings on the same topic.
