[External_Sender] Close the Point Beach nuclear reactors

Dear NRC Members,

I encourage you to deny the license extensions for the Point Beach nuclear reactors due to the severe embrittlement of the unit 2 reactor, one of the most embrittled reactors in the U.S.

which poses the risk of cracking and radioactive release.

In addition, a power outage could result in a core meltdown and potential contamination of Lake Michigan which supplies drinking water for 40 million people.

The current risk assessments do not reflect the higher sensitivity of nuclear releases to women, infants, children and teens. The draft supplemental EIS does not address current climate projections for 2030-2055 and beyond.

Additionally, while nuclear waste remains highly toxic for tens of thousands of years, there is currently no permanent nuclear waste storage sites in the U.S.

Again, I urge you to deny the license extensions for the Point Beach nuclear reactors.

Thank you for your consideration, Daniel Lippitt Madison WI
