Feedback or Question NRC Response
- 1.
The new APS does not have the option to look at daily folders. Searching the field "date added" seems to be closest option, but the results are wildly different between APS and WBA.
This has been addressed in release 1.1.0.
- 2.
Can the daily folders be added to APS? If not, what is the best way to mimic the results?
This can be accomplished in APS in multiple ways.
Solution 1: Please use Advance Search to see documents by Date Added.
Solution 2: You can also use Quick Search options and Facets to filter documents by Date Added.
APS Public User Feedback/Queries
Feedback or Question NRC Response
- 3.
Is there an approximate date by when Web-based ADAMs will be decommissioned, and APS will be the only available system to use?
The NRC does not yet have a date for when WBA will be decommissioned, but we will communicate as the date is identified and approaches.
4.
I would like to know at the meeting what performance requirements must be met by APS before ADAMS is turned off. I am concerned with the performance of APS.
It will be helpful if the user can share more details such as where was performance degradation observed.
- 5.
The wild card (*) search is returning incorrect results.
This has been addressed in release 1.1.0.
- 6.
APS and ADAMS do not return the same results. A search for title containing MATPRO returns 13 results under ADAMS but only 11 from APS.
Bug fix is currently in progress. Will be part of a future release.
APS Public User Feedback/Queries
Feedback or Question NRC Response 7.
The document package is not always included in a document's properties (for example, package ML25063A248 contains two documents, but the package is not listed in the properties of either document).
A ticket has been created for implementation in a future release.
- 8.
In APS, the properties available for me to view do not include the parent document information. Can this please be added?
A ticket has been created for implementation in a future release.
9.
Clicking the link for a document's properties reverts website to the top of the page, making users navigate back to the document they were looking at. This is very annoying and inefficient.
This is being implemented and will be part of the next release.
APS Public User Feedback/Queries
Feedback or Question NRC Response
- 10.
Unable to find SECY-18-0058 (ML16264A002) when searched "SECY" as keywords. I also can't find it when I search "SECY-18-0058". Even searching all the records with the keyword as empty, the report I downloaded still does not have this file. Only when I typed in "ML16264A002", it shows up.
Error could not be duplicated. The behavior could be because of a labeling issue that has been identified and will be corrected as part of the solution detailed in feedback #11 below.
- 11.
Suggest that we change Keyword(s) on the Search Criteria page to Search terms to distinguish between these two different things.
This is being implemented and will be part of the next release.
12.
Sometimes when there are multiple docket numbers, it makes it VERY hard to read the title, because the words are stacked vertically.
This has been addressed in release 1.1.0.
APS Public User Feedback/Queries
APS Public User Feedback/Queries Feedback or Question NRC Response 13.
For the May 20th ADAMS Users Group meeting, is there a handy (i.e., accessible and searchable) source or index to the NRC Docket Numbers that can be used to find ADAMS documents?
When I need do an ADAMS search, I almost have to spend a lot of time finding the NRC Docket Number(s) that apply to the Nuclear Plant Unit or ISFSI specific or general license facility applicable to the documents I need to locate.
For example, 10CFR 72.214 is a good source of ISFSI general license docket numbers, but it doesn't show which plants or plant ISFSIs the docket numbers apply to.
There is an existing backlog item requesting for a capability to look for Dockets based on Plant Name. It will be prioritized and addressed in a future release.
In the interim, let us know if below links are helpful (also available under Help & Info section in APS).
